Other than carrots…

My vegetable garden is finally cleared! Chillies went a bit mad this year. From 7 plants, I have harvested 7 full Colanders, which is amazing. Tomatoes did next best. Beans were rubbish and the potatoes tasted bland as bland can be.

Had just one lot of fireworks so far, no doubt that will increase very soon.

We have both been double vaccinated. I think, yet again, the flu one knocked me sideways. Was in bed the next day feeling rotten with a very sore arm. Finally felt 100% a few days later. DB no such trouble.

Hope you are all well. I am still enjoying gaming, moved onto vambies now, a cross between vampires and zombies, amazing teeth on them!

  1. Hello, nice to read a post from you. Wow, that's a lot of chillies! Our tomatoes, carrots and leeks did well, the potatoes reasonably well, not as many courgettes or butternut squash as in previous years, they kept rotting with all the rain. The gaming sounds a laugh!

    1. I grew two courgette plants and thankfully, this year, they didn’t overwhelm us! Yeah, I am loving gaming that’s for sure.

  2. Good to hear from you again. My beans and potatoes good. Peppers total fail. Only the cherry tomatoes thrived. Chard surprised us by growing well, AND proving tasty. Just some carrots left now... I'm fascinated by the variations in garden wins/losses, even in the same county ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿฅ”๐Ÿฅ’๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿซ‘๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘❤️

    1. Thank you. Not sure what the carrots will be like as they were the third sowing, previous two having failed. They are still smallish but do have a lovely taste.
